Vickie Slater (Instructor/Director)

Vickie fell in love with dancing as a child and began teaching while in high school.  She has received several years of professional training from dance studios here in the Midwest as well as the west coast.  She studied various disciplines of dance through Western Kentucky University’s accredited Dance Department.  From 1993-1996 she was a member of Western Kentucky University’s nationally ranked dance team twice competing and placing in Universal Dance Association’s top six teams in the nation featured on ESPN.

Vickie has choreographed for numerous dance teams, show choirs, and musicals.  She completed the 2001 Arena Football Season as a member of the Indianapolis Firebird Dance Team.  For over 10years she was a dance judge for Jamfest Cheer and Dance Competitions.  From 2008-2011 she was the Indianapolis Children’s Cast Director for the Moscow Ballet, coordinating auditions and directing rehearsals for the annual Great Russian Nutcracker touring production.

Vickie has been a Chocolate Ambassador for the Hershey Foods Corporation touring the United States in the Hershey Kissmobile.  She has also performed as an illusionist with Magician Sean Scott and appeared on a Discovery Channel Houdini inspired special.  Prior to settling down in the Midwest Vickie was an Au Pair for an Italian family in Bresica, Italy and still speaks a little Italian.

In December 2000 Vickie followed her heart and started Accented Motions Dance Studio on the north-east side of Indianapolis.  Her studio quickly grew to over 300 dancers!  She enjoyed 12 years of dancing and laughs with her Indianapolis Dance Family until relocating to Frankfort, Michigan.

Vickie has enjoyed dancing and teaching here in Frankfort since the fall of 2012!

She is looking forward to many more years to come creating lasting memories with her Frankfort Dance Family!
